A favourite icon of Our Lady of Kazan, Russian, early 19th cent. I think she is beautiful! She has endured the Russian Revolution and the long years of Communism. She has lost her silver Risa that would have covered the white gestured area.
Her very existence is a sign that beyond everything faith endures.
